[ She spots Dokja in the hotel lobby, sometime after she had retrieved a glass of water, and initially thinks nothing of it. However there swiftly comes an urge to follow, curiosity overwhelming as she carefully traces his steps from a safe distance behind.
And then comes Joonghyuk, which doesn't surprise her much at all; they know each other.
So she's just... carefully tailing them as they enter the library. WHERE'S THE NEST!! ]
[ The reader's daemon seems to be curiously looking around as they make their way to the library, the arctic fox seeming to be feeling something with how she looks at everything. Dokja himself, however, seems focused solely on his companion beside him as they walk.
He doesn't expect Joonghyuk to hold the door like a gentleman so he just pushes the door to walk in. ]
[ NOT A NEST. IT is just a library. They are walking to a library which Reze will notice eventually. The wolf has noticed someone tailing them, but Joonghyuk hasn't brought it to light yet.
Also.
He does not hold out the door. He just goes in. ]
I tried looking in other areas, but at the moment there's nothing to be found... Or things are avoiding my gaze.
[ She identifies it quickly enough, with Grigory darting forward and catching the door after shifting into his iguana form. Squish.
Reze picks him up as silently as possible, the soft click of the door closing behind her making her grit her teeth. Big woof don't say anything... pwease. ]
Once they're inside, Dokja will help himself to looking around at the various books collected within the library. ]
..A bit small. [ The library, that is. The fox's attention is immediately at the entrance of the library with ears and tail up. ]
Aside from the group meeting we had earlier today, I did talk with Suriel. [ Hmm. ] Have you tried talking with any of the Watchers outside the Temporals?
There's a possibility that I could have overlooked a larger library—or even a computer lab. There's something about this city...
[ Where locations or strange things seem to finally show themselves? Only to some, at certain times, and then others see and notice other things. He doesn't quite like it.
Anyway, time to look through books. ]
I haven't spoken to any of them today, but I do plan on talking to each one privately.
[ Also, Niah is connected to Joonghyuk, so he also knows. The wolf turns to look at her as if to be like "are you sure about this?" ]
[ Reze is... peering from behind a table, squatting down. Overhearing their conversation she takes a moment, lips pressed firmly together before she speaks: ]
What are you gonna ask them?
[ Grigory squirms immediately, knowing that she's done Made A Mess. ]
[ There's a nod to Joonghyuk's words but he says nothing in response. Not when a soft voice sounds out. ]
Oh? Have you decided to join our conversation?
[ Well, Dokja doesn't seem surprised. Of course, he wasn't sure who- only that someone had been tailing him. ]
Probably the same questions you have. Have you talked to any of them yet, Reze?
[ With Reze alerting them of her presence, the fox trots a little on over in the direction with a flick of her tail. As much as she's able while still being close enough to Dokja. ]
[ She doesn't sound disappointed, her tone flat. She lifts herself on her feet and steps a little closer; unhesitating. ]
I spoke to Shamsiel, cause they seemed soft-spoken and easier to get info from. But they seemed almost as clueless as we are... Though they did say that the spectres weren't an enemy in particular but also not something you want to have around. I dunno what to think of it.
[ With her coming closer, Jin jogs on back to Dokja and pushes on her hind legs to paw at his pockets. ]
The spectres seemed tied to whatever is happening here. [ Glancing at Jin, he puts his hand in his pocket to pull out the little angel statue he found at the lighthouse top. ] I spoke with Suriel about this, they told me that the people who live here cherish them, like guardian angels. That they use to be here while offering their protection, but seem to have vanished and they're not sure what made them leave.
[ He pockets the angel again. ] Our best guess is their protection was against the spectres. How else would they have been able to live here otherwise? And now that they are no longer here... makes sense why they're suddenly in danger of these spectres. Still desperately hoping for the angels to save them.
[ Joonghyuk frowns because usually he wouldn't care much for that, but the number they did on the bodies they found is... Concerning. He isn't fond of the possible methods.
Joonghyuk crosses his arms and Niah's gaze is back here instead of an "intruder." ]
Then our theories are cemented. [ From their little Town Hall meeting earlier. ] Did Suriel mention why there are two different sets of angel statues?
... [ Her gaze moves from Dokja to Joonghyuk, and then quickly back to Dokja. ] You know, before we started getting more information I almost thought that some of us were meant to be the spectres. The kids here said that the adults left before we appeared, and it sounded awful convenient.
[ How very Dokja-esque indeed. Someone here is proud. Jin is expressing it with a wag of her tail, the arctic fox limping around Dokja to peek at Reze. ]
[ obviously we know who the man in this relationship is ]
To be honest, I don’t think he’s a particularly bad guy… to anyone who doesn’t hurt his fragile ego. Which isn’t hard, but whatever.
[ She waves her hand. ]
I just can’t stand the way he talks about the dead. Like if you have so much to say, why don’t you say it to their face? Like in hell — not to say any of the people who have died are in hell.
He comes off as the type of person to kill because he wants to.
When I was with him in the bookshop, I dunno if he saw me but... the way he killed that creature was full of mirth. It's like watching a ticking time bomb.

Of course. Even without his profile, he's the kind of person that I easily expect to kill if need be.
